The Columbus Blue Jackets are off to their worst start ever. 4 games has equaled 4 losses (even though they did make it through regulation tied once). The power play should be a prime opportunity to score goals during a game but the Jackets have gone 0 for 20 so far this year. They have carried leads into the third period multiple times and have yet to finish the game with it. The experienced players are beginning to gel and a lot of expectations will be met by them, but the rest of the team is not. The hard hitting third and fourth lines of yesteryear have been coming up empty. The effort to stop opposing teams rushes has been lacking. Goaltending is semi-exsitent at best.
I am a fan and will remain hopeful. I am one of the guys, who in late March, keeps holding on to the idea that my Jackets can win 11 in-a-row and make the playoffs. I am the guy who sees one great shot from the point by a defender and then spend the rest of the season expecting to see another at any moment. There is nothing that the Jackets can do to put me off for good. I am a solid fan.
Wins are coming. I will keep the hope alive until they do, but I hope it's before the snow flies.
